In our on-going efforts to improve services to our members, we have implemented a "Job Line" system. We will no longer be calling our members regarding available employment opportunities. Interested Members will now call the toll free Job line to hear about the available positions. Positions may also be viewed by clicking here.
Here's how it will work

The Job Line number is 1-855-747-2111. This is a toll free number and can be used by our members for the sole purpose of bidding on posted jobs. We will not respond to unrelated messages or record lay-off dates that are left on this toll free number.

Available Positions will be posted on the Job Line by 4:30 PM each day. We will listen to messages left on the toll free number at 9:00 AM daily.

Members interested in applying for positions within their classification must leave their name and telephone number, along with the position of interest. Please be clear about the exact position being applied for.

When more than one person applies for a position, we will select the person, in their turn, from the Dispatch List. To be considered for a position, applicants must be on the applicable Dispatch List and their union dues must be in good standing.

The applicant selected for a position will be contacted by 12:00 noon. Therefore applicants who do not receive a call by 12:00 noon may assume that the position has been filled by another member. Meanwhile, unsuccessful applicants will remain on the Dispatch List for their turn.

Please continue to call the Union Office at 709-747-2111 (ext. 221) to inform us when you are laid off. You will be placed on the dispatch list on the day you notify the Union Office.
